Curriculum Policy

Apple Tree International School is a strict English-speaking educational environment. Since July 2013 we are an attached examination centre with Cambridge International Examinations (CIE).
Since September 2014 we are a registered member of Cambridge Primary Checkpoint.

Through modern European standard educational methods adapted to Bangladeshi cultural environment Apple Tree International School aims for the highest possible results in O Level examinations, and to prepare students for higher education.
Apple Tree International School follows the Cambridge International Examinations syllabus leading to an O Level exam.
From Kindergarten (5+) we follow Cambridge International Primary in English, Mathematics and Science, and Cambridge ICT Starters for work with computers and digital technology.
From Grade 7 (12+) we follow Cambridge Secondary 1. You can read more about O Level curriculum under Cambridge Secondary 2.

Cambridge Checkpoint tests are compulsory at Apple Tree. In grade 6 students sit for Cambridge Primary Checkpoint. In grade 8 they sit for Cambridge Checkpoint.

At preschool level strong emphasis is given English as a tool of communication. Through different activities and play in a supportive and encouraging atmosphere, the students will have a growing confidence to use and understand English in every aspect of the school day to prepare them for Primary School.

From Primary School level emphasis will be given three core educational areas.
1. English. Higher education depends on the capability of understanding English and because education at Apple Tree is conducted in English.
2. Bangla. Without the proper knowledge of their mother language, and its culture and history,
students may not be able to master a second language.
3. Mathematics, Science and ICT (Information and Communication Technology).
